On March 12, 1893, thirteen believers gathered together in a small school building on the east side of North Division Street in Rome, Georgia to begin a church to reach the west side of Rome for Christ. Fast forward countless blessings and 117 years, West Rome Baptist Church has grown from those original 13 members to more than 1500.
Remaining focused on the original vision laid out by their 13 Charter Members, In 2010 West Rome Baptist Church completed the construction of a new multi-purpose facility, “The Warehouse”. The vision for this new facility was to create a modern, performance environment that could serve the home to their student ministries and XL Ministries as well as serving as a concert venue for artists such as Dave Barnes, December Radio and The Afters.
