Buckhead Church - Atlanta, GA
Over the last 25 years of professional service, Moyers Group has seen church sound and video evolve from a bare “Public Address System” with at most an overhead projector to major production systems integrating sound reinforcement, video, camera systems and lighting. Today’s audiences expect a vivid, intimate and powerful multimedia experience. Most of the attention, focus, and let's face it, production budgets, are often dedicated to creating this amazing, cutting edge, worship environment in the main auditorium. But what about the many other worship environments throughout the church?
Multimedia Systems in the pre school, elementary, middle school, high school and college areas in the past have been more of an afterthought or a “we'll see how the budget works out, low-priority item”. No matter the size of the project, budgetary concerns are usually a reality. More and more we are seeing that churches are realizing the importance of communicating to these age groups with the same technologies we have all have grown to expect in the main auditorium.
"Our company, like most other design build firms, has spent most of our time designing systems for larger spaces, with much larger budgets than are typically practical for the smaller environments within the church campus" said Jeremy Moyers of Moyers Group. "Recently, we have had the opportunity to partner with the staffs of North Point Community Church, Buckhead Church, Browns Bridge Community Church, and Tapestry Church all located in Metro Atlanta, GA and with Indiana Avenue Baptist Church, Trinity Church, Turning Point Community Church and Greenville Oaks Church of Christ in Texas, in the design and installation of Sound, Video and Lighting Systems for their children and youth environments."
It has proven to be an interesting and exciting challenge balancing the needs and dreams of the children, youth and college directors with the available space and allotted budgets. We currently have many of these projects in the planning and design stages and are seeing this as a growing trend throughout the church community.
